Medieval costumes, dancing maidens, and an unbelievable array of instruments: to see the Incredibles perform was a remarkable experience. They epitomized the "new age traveller" and as such are highly influential, and sadly under-appreciated. Thirty years later, their challenging folk music has not become any easier. Hearing the epic 13-minute 'A Very Cellular Song', with its many changes and parts, is still pretty formidable. Easy to poke fun at, but they were absolutely sincere, and very good at it.
