Shoeshine - The Criterion Collection [Blu-ray / 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray (Restored)]

Italian drama directed by Vittorio De Sica which explores the struggles of two boys living in post-war Rome. Best friends Giuseppe (Rinaldo Smordoni) and Pasquale (Franco Interlenghi) are trying to buy a horse together and they earn money by shining shoes. They dream of a better life but when they are implicated in a robbery, the punishment they receive is severe and as their friendship is tested, tragedy awaits.
